Massanutten Resort is looking to hire a graphic designer that can produce a wide range of marketing materials (both internally and externally) with quick turnaround times, maintain the Massanutten brand, focus on digital media content as well as manage content on the website, social media, digital displays, Resort App, and email marketing and perform office tasks, assist with PR and special events, social media response, and onsite music festivals.
This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring our products and our story to life.
Required High school diploma.
Must be adept in branding, typography, illustration, layout, color and file preparation.
Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, SEO, email marketing.
Attention to detail and proofreading own material.
Must submit a portfolio of work.
Preferred BA in Graphic Design or a related field.
Working knowledge of photo and video editing, photography/videography and photo/video shoot preparation; techniques and trends.
Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity.
Typical Schedule Days:
Five days a week, Monday-Friday Weekends and holidays as needed Hours:
8am - 4pm, or 9am - 5pm Core Responsibilities Develop creative content and create ads and marketing/communication pieces for the resort and individual departments including web and digital ads (animated and static), infographics, emails, brochures, logos, posters, gifs, guides, maps, etc.
Proofread all marketing related documents for grammar and spelling in preparation of public presentation.
Webmaster assistant - create and manage website content with focus on SEO and social content strategy.
Assist with managing social media platforms, as well as being available as part of our response team at least three times per week Assist with photo and video shoots; preparation, production, and editing.
Maintain a working knowledge of the resort marketing plan, calendars, and timelines.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently focusing on both long range projects and immediate requests.
Keep up-to-date on design trends and technology and bring design recommendations to the department.
Design & manage digital initiatives for resort marketing & transitional emails.
This includes ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly emails send on schedule and email client is functioning correctly.
Manage content on resort websites through the CMS.
Other duties as assigned by management.
